This is my Windows Live Writer test blog, in a sense. It’s my first try at using Windows Live Writer to post to my Blogger account. I thought I’d take the opportunity to draw toward my original purpose.
I started this Blog a couple of months back, as some of you may know, a student journal, to document my progress throughout college. I had enrolled in a Freelance Journalism course after a Meteorology cancellation, but since dropped the course to regain focus on my major. I think that’s where my blog started to swing out into the news realm. A quick recap:
I wrote the Free John Edwards blog because in reading the news, leading up to the closing arguments, I got concerned, felt something intuitive, certain depths that just weren’t being reported and hey, he was acquitted and last I heard, the judge was interested in Andrew Young on separate charges.
I used Wordle to create a word cloud and I was testing a technique in which I used real life dialogue. Being a relatively ethically sound person, I didn’t air the entirety of my argument with the person I tagged “scientist.” And the person I used for my second dialogue got in touch with me. She gave me permission to use her name and I linked to her Blog as well.
But I didn’t ask if I could use the text, and her stuff’s edited too. Definite learning experience.
Here’s her Blog.
All in all, I get more traffic than expected;
My Blog on Beauty was part of an assignment in Women’s Studies, which I just wrapped up, with a Final exam on Friday 6/29/2012 (I think I aced it, my essay was a little long and slightly off topic, but we’ll see) That Blog gets less views but it is my G+ leader in plusses. Go Beauty!(update:Now Listed Top4)
So I’ll come back with some more student relative content, I got some really cool pics from my museum visit project but I don’t want them ending up on some Direct TV/Dish Network auction channel.
‘Til then friends!
